Materials of Fidget Spinners
- 3D printed
- Metals (Brass, Copper, Aluminium, Titanium etc)
- Zip/Cable ties (Diy, not 3D printed)
- Wood
- Acrylics
- Munson Ring
In terms of material, metals seems to be pricy but aluminum consider the cheapest of all but it dents easily. The heavier the material of a spinner, the longer it spins and it also increase strain depending how heavy it is. Likewise for the materials that are light-weighted, shorter spin time but it’s easy to manipulate. (C)A member from Spinspace
Types of Fidget Spinners
- Bar/Dual
- Tri
- Quad
Types of ball bearings
- 608zz (frequently used. Eg, bones reds highly recommended)

Quality of ball bearings
- Stainless steel
- Hybrid Ceramic (an upgrade for those who want to replace it with SS)
- Full Ceramic (better performance, self preferrence)
Hybrid and Full Ceramic bearing depending on spin time, noise level produce, caged/cageless, sizes of the bearing, they provide minimal and large difference in terms of pricing. (C)A member from Spinspace
Maintenance of ball bearing
-
Apply dish soap to the naked bearing, spin to agitate the bearing in the presence of dish soap. 1 minute step.
-
Spin the bearing under running water to remove soap and encapsulated grime. 30 seconds step.
-
Repeat the 1st and 2nd step mentioned above. Minimum of 3 times at least.
-
Blow-out the bearing with compressed air from both sides of the bearing. The bearing should spin up to a high pitch while this is taking place.
-
Do take note if your max spin time drops by about a minute or more, repeat step 1 and 2 to clean your bearing again.
Above steps are recommended tips from Fabian Botero, owner of Spin Space Official.
